Nu aparțin acestui cântec -
Nu aparțin de fapt nimănui -
Dar atunci când aud acest
Cântec,
Corpul meu nu se poate reține
Să ți-l cânte din toate încheieturile,
Din toate gurile
Vechi de secole, transformate-n pământ.
Astfel tot universul cântă
Acest ultim, sfâșietor, de moarte
Cânt.
